Everything on this site is open to software as well as people: a search API over what candidates said, tools AI agents can call from any page, and a markdown version of every page.

What's available

  • Search API Full-text search over 7,800+ documented positions, with the quote and its source. Free, no key, CORS open.
  • MCP server and WebMCP tools Four read-only tools: connect any MCP client to https://www.2026election.com/mcp, or call them from any page here through WebMCP.
  • Markdown and llms.txt Every page has a markdown version at the same URL plus .md, also served for Accept: text/markdown. /llms-full.txt holds every race guide in one file.

Using the data

Positions and quotes come only from candidates' own campaign sites and Ballotpedia, quoted verbatim with a source link. Please keep the source link when you show a quote, and credit 2026election.com.
